District 1. Commissioner Allyson Berry 100-DAY PLAN
This 100-Day Plan outlines our needs and strategies to fulfill the intended goals.
Acknowledging our citizens to be our major resource, this 100-Day Plan begins with
identifying our citizens’ aspirations and common goals. Then can we quickly advance to
developing the expertise, partnerships, and community buy-in needed to implement the
plan of action.
My date of service began January 10, 2023. I have taken the time needed to become
acclimated and to assess the veracity of this plan. Confident with the potential, this 100-
Day Plan will begin on March 20, 2023 and end on June 28, 2023. At such time, the
District will be called together to critique the results and to consider the next steps.
I grew up in District One. Not only do I know first-hand the weaknesses of the district, I
know the strengths as well. District 1 will certainly respond positively to respect,
inclusivity, and opportunity. I envision, in the near future, the citizens of District 1
taking advantage of the myriad opportunities that will come – as well as the
opportunities the District will provide for itself. Providing opportunities is good
business – for District 1, the city of Leesburg, the state of Florida, and the nation.
We are all stitched together in one social and economic cloth. Wherever there is a rip in
our garment, the value of the whole is diminished. We must patch-up those rips and
work to maintain a healthy social-economical community and build a wealthier
economy for the whole of Leesburg.
As Commissioner, it is my duty to bring to bear the wherewithal of the city to
accomplish the goals outlined herein. I remain committed to my campaign platform -
The F.A.C.T.S. Fellowship – Appearance – Communication – Teamwork – Safety. These
are not to be addressed in any particular order, as several concerns will be addressed
simultaneously.
